Hello there....do you people do yourself or outsource directory submissions?I have few questions regarding the same?

a)How many different titles (or long tailed keywords)you use for submissions? Can i get a number?
b)Do you use different descriptions as well?If yes how many?
c)What package you go for?I mean there are some sites claiming to do 1000 directory submissions for a mere 6$....is that worth it?
d)With there being thousands and thousands of directories already and many being created everyday...do you feel directory submission should be a continuos process?
e)Is it right to outsource directory submissions as it is very time consuming?

    Waiting for the answers.....

I believe no man would manually submit your site to 1,000 directories for only $6, that would take days of clicking and typing for hours! People who offer outrageously cheap services, most often get wait to receive payment first and then disappear into the night. I personal think that it is best to manually hand do it your self, so you can guarantee that your site is benefiting.

Don't use a directory submission service.
Go for higher ranking submission sites only.
submit to specialist directories in your field also.
    Submit to DMoz - essential.

If you have a reliable source, manual submissions are good. $6 for 1000 is hard to believe. I set myself up on a schedule and do 10 a day for the site I am promoting. This way I know what I'm getting and where they are going.

I also believe you should drip them in, 10 a day is a good # per prior poster. These folks doing it are cheap, but I am not sure I can get them to do it everyday. So I end up doing it myself.

Directory submission is good in twoo cases

    1. niche keywords
    2. cheap backlinks building

6$ - I am not sure it is worth, consider purchase own bookmarking deamon. Forget about manually submission by yourself, you will spent a lot of time and gain nothing. Articles with links inside is good for manuall submissions cos they have a real strenght, directory submission is worthless if you want do it manually. I am telling you from my own expirience.

Directory Submission is an ideal starting point for new websites. It may be not effective in terms of search engine optimisation as before since google decreased link value on pages with lots of outbound links and less text content but it can get your site indexed and you may get a few users coming to your site from these directories, especially when they are niche-based.

Directory links, while not as influencial as in-content links from authoritative sites, are an important part of any SEO strategy. They are what we like to call 'base-links'. They are not going to rocket you to #1, but help to create a well rounded backlink profile.

I use digixmas as it is great at guessing the category you want and even filters the possible categories, all you need do is choose your category and fill in the captcha. Can do 1500 in a day or so very easily, so long as you have 1Mb or higher internet connection.

a)How many different titles (or long tailed keywords)you use for submissions? Can i get a number?

Rotate among 10 titles and long tail phrases

b)Do you use different descriptions as well?If yes how many?

Yes 10 different descriptions set to rotatted

c)What package you go for?I mean there are some sites claiming to do 1000 directory submissions for a mere 6$....is that worth it?

Where is this site that does $6 submissions? People say they will submit manually but they use software to do the job, It is too time consuming to do manual submissions. I know of sites that does 1000+ directory submissions for like $50

d)With there being thousands and thousands of directories already and many being created everyday...do you feel directory submission should be a continuos process?

Yes but it is not necessary - concentrate on building quality content and blogs and traffic and rankkings will follow automatically

e)Is it right to outsource directory submissions as it is very time consuming?

    Yes very good option.

    Hi,

I would like to share some points with you...:)
titles need not require to be too long, I mean one or two short titles is sufficient...
for keywords it is said more the number of keywords the more specific is the directory to which your site gets submitted and for description it should be accurate...

also, make sure you confirm the list before you get the site submitted...
also, type of service whether automated or manual...
because manual submissions are far more better than the automated submissions...

The automated submissions do not cost much so it is affordable in 6$ for 1000 submissions but its not worth ...

Hope this might help you in chosing the best one...

    regards

It is worth if you choose good offer or purchase your own automatic submitter, I have one and it works perfect. Needs some time to setup it on begenning of each submission but works absolutely perfect. It submits to link directories and article directories, cares about uniqe content to :)
