I have a vbulletin based Java forum. I am not sure whether i should activate revenue sharing or not.

I think we are taking attention of users and visitors to ads too much when we activate revenue sharing and it comes with a risk of being banned from google adsense. Of course this is open to discussion and actually discussion of this is the aim of opening this thread.

Let me know your opinions and experiences with revenue sharing on your own forums.

Did you obtain more registered users?
    Did you earn more?
Are you being banned from your ad program because of this?
Did anybody contact google and asked revenue sharing to them? What did they say?
Did spam increase on your forums after installign revenue sharing?
Any other problems you saw after installing a revenue sharing mod?
    ....

Well ... as a registered member I don't care. I am here and still didn't bother ad my adsense info in the profile. But still, some care about it, and if my members like it, why not? when I announced this there were some people who were pleased. It took me 2 minutes to set it, so it's oK.

I have also never added my adsense code in the forums here and I have been a member for around 2 years. I have now inputed the help the homeless publisher ID instead so that I can contribute something to the good cause.

I think the OP is concerned that by activating revenue sharing, he will be encouraging people to click the ads on his site. If the revenue sharing users constantly click the ads on the forum, it may attract attention from Google who might think the clicks are all fraudulent.
