    Yes PR = Page Rank.

If you want to check Google Pagerank, you can download the Google toolbar for your browser.

This is the best option. And i don't think so anyone checks PR for any other Search Engine leave to Google.

Follow the link below for an explanation of PageRank in Google's own words.

    http://www.google.com/corporate/tech.html

It would be great if you could do something with the dynamic URL's in your site. For example, http://hooklineansinker.co.uk/shop.php?c=13&x=Terminal_Tackle contains one ?, one &, and two = symbols. These URL's are not SEO friendly and could create indexing problems for you. You may be able to use mod-rewrite to clean up these dymanic URL's and make them easier to index. Here's a link to give you some info on mod-rewrite. If you are using a licensed CMS, contact the developer and see what they recommend.

You are going to need as many backlinks to your site as you can. Submit to web directories, including the keywords you want to rank for in the title of the submissions. Maybe write an article or two and submit it to some article directories. Submit to social bookmarking sites, again using the keywords you want to rank for in the text links. Do a press release, which often is picked up and redistributed by other sites.

Your site does not appear in Yahoo. You need to create/submit XML sitemaps if you have not done so. Check out this link to help you get indexed quickly.

Good luck with your new site. :)

Some people including me uses the PR or pr as the abbreviation of pagerank. To check your pr, try to install the Searchstatus on your station.
