Well I signed up for a VPS a few days ago with 1-dollar-hosting, waited a few hours as you do and got login details. Could login and view my details and what package I'd bought etc however I had no use of any sort of servers/ login details to servers.

I submitted a ticket to there contact desk and waited a few days yet no contact or reply.

Now feeling quite worried about loosing $64 I submit a resoloution request at paypal with the following:

' I signed up for a month of Windows VPS hosting, however no login information was given and no contact was recieved after contacting the support desk with a ticket. Therefor I terminated the account and am awaiting a return.'

    His reply:

'First of all like buyer mentioned; this payment is for Hosting service and this is NOT a payment for tangible, physical goods. Therefore such a payment is not covered by any Buyer Protection Program that Paypal offer. Secondly buyer has sign-up for the purchase off a dedicated server. On our website information page for dedicated servers [http://www.1dollar-hosting.com/dedicated.html] at the bottom under "IMPORTANT" is clearly stipulated that a server deployment takes 2 a 3 business days. Customer was agree with our Terms of Service on the signup and these stipulated very clearly that ALL sales are final; no refunds. We very sorry for any inconvenience this problem may cause. Thank you, 1Dollar-Hosting. '

I am still waiting for paypal to review the case but with such a reply as above I'm not very hopeful.

If you search his email on Google you'll see that he comes up as a scammer from others forums:

He also has an account here somewhere so watch out!

You should never go with a host with 1dollar in it.

Just 1, but it was a vps, using burst.net now so hopefully they'll be abit more reliable. Quick advice to anyone buying hosting, check the websites alexa rank before you buy.

Burst.net sucks, too. Check WHT for reviews on them

It's not to host websites on so I just need a cheap VPS host who will basically just give me what I've ordered.

This is my honest reply on http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1118691 - closed very soon

Who is the scammer here? First of all we don’t provide VSP accounts at all.
You ordered a dedicated server and everywhere we announced that the deployment is 2/3 business days; which is very usual into the industry.
As well who did a Paypal chargeback complain a few hours after the order for his a server?
In addition all respond from our side is giving into your Paypal complain and you post only here a part from it. Every serious person how is on familiar with dedicated servers know that such installation is a serious matter and not can be released in a few hours.
If you are thinking that placing an order and immediately thereafter shooting the supplier in the back with a Paypal complain, is the way to do then you make a serious wrong decision. Also you complain here with the only intention to bringing us in damage the reputation of services and push you into the victim role is simply contemptible.
Just that all know that we don’t have any intention for such scammers to ignore the conditions where you was agree with on signup.
And at last but not at least; your Google search for our email address can’t impress us. “zilmok” was banned from a shared hosting account after we discover his phishing website.
    Kind Regards.
