Don't understand this

I have ads that show up in positions 1-6 on the first page of search results for a fairly popular keyword. However I get no impression and no clicks. I don't understand why. My ads show up for US and Canada which is where my target market is. Any clues what I'm doing wrong?

Is the keyword searched for a lot? Have you done a search to see the ad or just looking a the impressions google says?

Yes it is search for a lot and now matter what I bid, higher or lower, the same result. I search on both Google Canada and US and they show up in the searches. But I get no impressions or clicks. Weird.

You could always see if it rectifies itself or email google about it.

Adwords reporting has a 3 hour delay.

My first thought is maybe the ads are not attractive to the surfers. When my stats get stale I switch the text ad around and my CTR always raises.

That would not effect impressions, which the opening poster said he wasn't seeing.

Yea Guy you are totally correct. I took a more figuritive approach. When he said he had NO Impressions and NO clicks I did not think he meant NO Impressions or clicks at all. The first thing to do is wait 24 hours, If there are Zero impressions after that then you need to evaluate the keywords selected for the campaign.

You can also use the diagnostic tool available in the Adwords campaign manager to see if your ads are being displayed. If they are not it will tell you why.

Update - Adwords is officially a scam! Today I contacted Google about this phenomena I was having and within a few hours I check my stats again and low and behold there were all my impressions and clicks that have accumulated over the past week. Turns out that all this time that I thought I was not getting any impression or clicks, and was bidding ridiculously high prices on keywords to try to work it out, they were in fact working, except I did not see this until today when most of my budget was wasted:mad: Beware of Adwords, they are no good. I have immediately paused all my campaigns and will never go back to adwords again:mad:

And you're sure it's nothing you did? I've seen people set the default view to "today" and check the account before impressions/clicks had been updated each day. I've used Adwords for a long time and have never seen anything similiar in my account.

    hehe...

I've done except I had it set to a specific date in the past. Damn if I didn't pull all my hair out trying to figure out why I had no stats that day!!
