There is a stupid guy, domain25, new member that is PMing members. He want to sell "expired domain with PR6". You have to pay up front of course... Do I need to say more ? Well, ok, he have nothing to sell.

Thanks for the warning. I'll make sure not to deal via PMs to people with low rep and iTrader.

You need to be careful on PM or anywhere when you are dealing with someone who has spent the time building trust and reputation. People are only scammed because they allow it to happen. If it sounds too good to be true than walk away.

You can be scammed from a thread just about as easily as from a PM, but with PMs it is more difficult to take action. You cannot post itrader in most cases for example.

I find most PM offers are just spam UNLESS you know the person.

The thread title should have been "Be very careful with PM offers". Some times you get PM offers from trusted members that are ok of course.
That guy who approached me had 0 posts and then 0 iTraders of course, offering me a valid PR6 domain for $40. And of course the domain was valid, the problem was that it was taken (and has been taken for the last 8 years).

Wow and you didn't buy that huh?:D

You would think they would target that to someone with a lower post count because they are often time less experienced. At least the spammer/scammer could have researched it first to make it look like a real deal. The only thing I hate worse than a scammer/spammer is a stupid scammer/spammer!

No, that's wrong. There are many honest buyers and traders who just began on the forum. If noone trades them, how would they get their iTrader up?

But if something seems fishy, it probably is.
