Don't see option to add banner ads, etc.

I'm looking at this from my advertiser's perspective and had some questions:

    1. I don't see the option to add banner ads though they are offered.

    2. For the CPC ads, title and description remain which seems confusing since it's for keywords.

    3. Where would an advertiser see an overview of what they've paid for (CPM/CPC rates, number of impressions, click-thrus, etc.)?

    Thanks!

    1. The system does not check the types of ads you offer for every page view, so if you added keyword/email ads before you made banners available, you can go to: http://advertising.digitalpoint.com/publisher.php?do=sites and reset the monthly traffic counter. That will also force it to check ad types you allow the next time there is a banner impression.

    2. It's intentional because advertisers still need to describe it just for their own list of ads. Imagine if you had 100 different ads created across different sites, but you didn't name or describe it. How would you find which ad you are trying to edit?

    3. Of course... daily summaries here: http://advertising.digitalpoint.com/advertiser.php?do=reports Details down to individual impressions/clicks here: http://advertising.digitalpoint.com/advertiser.php?do=stats

Any way to keep hidden forum areas from those available?

In AdminCP -> Options -> Digital Point Sell Ads, there is an option for "Hidden Forums Targetable".

I had that set to "no" thinking that would block them from seeing those. I've switched to "yes" and re-check. Thanks.

If you don't want them to be shown, it should be set to "No". It only updates back to the ad server hourly though, so it can take a bit to reflect the change. You can force it to update sooner by manually running the hourly Digital Point Ads scheduled task.

I had them set to "no" originally. I'm not sure what's going on but will try again.

It's keying on the canviewthreads permission, so make sure it's not just that the forum itself is hidden. A hidden forum would still be accessible if a user knew the URL. Make sure not all users can view threads within it.

You can double check under AdminCP -> Forums & Moderators -> View Permissions

Sorry to be a problem here. I went in and shut down all permissions to one forum and then went to the scheduled tasks to see if it worked. I didn't see a "Digital Point Ads" listed. I did hit both "Hourly Cleanup" options but it didn't remove it.

I went into "Forum Manager" and made "Show Private Forum" to "no" then ran both Hourly Cleanups again to no avail.

I'll give this another shot in the morning. Has to be something easy I'm overlooking. Thanks.

Got it all set and ready to go. Thanks again for all your help.

I did a little FAQ about this on my site if you are interested: gotitans.com/goForum/showthread.php?t=70253. Hopefully, that will get the ball rolling.
