just wanted to suggest for anyone who has a website, look into affiliate programs. DON'T go to clickbank or anything like that. Clickbank and sites like clickbank usually require you to send people through some pathetic sales page and just doesn't look good , however, if you have a website look for 1-2 affiliate programs that offer some form of lifetime commission and that would appeal to people of your website. sure adsense is great, I do allright from it. But I am starting to try a few affiliate programs and its pretty damn helpful. I've been finding my affiliate programs through this affiliate directory and I only look for the following things. http://www.associateprograms.com/directory/ 1. an affiliate program that deals with my niche 2. a lifetime affiliate program 3. Something cheap anyways like I said adsense is great, but if you have a site you made for adsense, than you can find an affiliate program that fits your website and is free to use, so you have nothing to lose.
YES - Diversify! I talked about this in the "Beyond Adsense" part of my (free) ebook, and I also talk about using other advertisers WITH Adsense, like Kontera. Don't limit yourself to just one income-stream. But, don't fall to the temptation of turning your site into nothing but a bunch of ads.
It is better to diversify your source of earning rather than concentrating on a single entity. Affiliates give additional income and who knows, some times it will overtake your adsense income
Don't put all your eggs in one basket is your message? Contextual is great for content based sites, affiliate programs for product reviews and then you can run CPM ads, which is what I do with my adult sites. It's a funny thing is Clickbank. Some of the stuff on there is cr@pola, but I tell ya they tend to sell like hot cakes and I know a fair few guys on the Warrior Forum that are earning thousands with them daily. Another good thing is that a typical sale can earn you £30.00 or so. It's just a shame that there are no restrictions on PPC, it's very untidy how it all goes through.
i have tried some other resources but not able to make money that can make me happy. so currently i am sticking with adsense only.
