There are other programs better than adsense when it comes to earnings and reliability. I don't understand why people are putting all their eggs in one basket. Adsense is not the life of online moneymakers.. There are better programs like CPA and affiliates which you can do easier than promoting adsense sites with uncertainty of earnings and high risk of losing accounts.... Adsense is getting unreliable and people are immune and tired seeing redundant and obsolete adsense ads.....
well.....there's a few reasons people like adsense and one of them is adsense is honest. It seems everywhere I go people who are involved with cpa and affiliates are scamming their way into profit (Example: mass E-mailing strangers). Adsense is stable income as you put time in your site, do seo, think of ways to bring traffic and keep it there, and you are paid. More and more every month. Its tougher to sell online than you think. You could get 40,000 visitors without a single sale. I have a site which gets around 50,000UV per month which is run fully with adsense and I've been making several hundred a month for over a year with it. I doubt that switching to affiliates would boost my profit. I think barely anyone would buy a thing and I'd be at a loss from the adsense earnings. With adsense next month I don't need to worry because I will get another check as I follow their guidelines. The affiliate people cannot be as comfortable with saying that as much as I can.
Of course, most of professional webmasters do not use Google Adsense as their premier earning source. There are more choices for them since they have many visitors. CPA, direct ads, CMP are also great source. However Google Adsense is one of the best.
You can't say this or that is better. For you maybe Affiliate or CPA works better then Adsense. For me, Affiliate does not work a bit. I do however make a lot with Adsense. For me Adsense is not unreliable, I don't see immunity (the CTR is always the same) and Adsense Ads are in no way obsolete. I also don't feel the "High risk" of losing my account, why would I? It all depends on your site and niche. It is up to everyone to find out what works best for you. I tried all kinds of monetization and for me Adsense (CPC) + direct selling of Ad Space (CPM) works best for my site and niche. StarBuG
last time I checked, adsense never reveal what percent are they giving to publishers. Adsense does not tell the exact reason to publisher why his account is banned... No affiliate programs and even adsense suggests to do this. It's individual's problem, not the program. People who are looking specific items on google means buying them. For instance, there are 2 websites ranked on google 1st and 2nd both promoting baby doll stroller. The first one has adsense ads and the second one has clickbank ads. 100 visitors visited both sites on purpose. 10 visitors clicked on adsense ads (10% ctr w/c is very high), and on the other side, 2 visitors purchased product from site promoting clickbank. So which do you think is better? The $5 to $15 adsense revenue or 2 CB sales at around $30? Sites promoting ffiliate products found on first page of google does not have any problem selling products... heck, one of my CPA sites having 60% conversion - means I am getting around $75 fpor every 100 organic visitors... the same site promoting adsense before struggling to make $10/week.... LOL

However support of Google Adsense is horrible, that is correct. This all depends on your niche. In my niche Affiliate simply does not work. I tried it extensively
Well, let see if someone here can say he got $25 in just one click on a site promoting mesothelioma (with around $50 CPC)..Anyway, adsense said, nobody can argue about it... Well, that's an exception....
I agree it's not wise to put all your eggs in one basket, however I do believe Adsense is in fact very reliable and a good source of income if implimented properly. Plus, Adsense ads are not redundant or obsolete in my opinion, ads are constantly changing and being updated keeping things fresh
I really don't understand this whole Adsense is unreliable non-sense. I have been getting stable income from my Adsense ads. They are far from obsolete and I'm sorry I just don't believe your account can get banned for anything other than breaking the TOS. If you break the rules you don't get to play. It's really simple. I and many others don't break the rules and I have nothing to fear of having my account banned. Affiliate programs work well for me as well, but I have had a hell of a time with CPA offers. Just goes to show what works for me doesn't necessarily work for the next guy.
Anyway everyone knows there is other ways but not necessary better, to make high profit from a website you need at least to work with a team and advertise it in the media, like radio, TV, newspaper and the website must be unique in content, design and concept. unless you are a good writer or a genius or both, the accidental millionaire facebook story thing is a lie, don't dream too much, you need money to make money and it's even worst then doing real business in real life like your own resturant or design company and there is always the risk of losing your money for nothing.
I am not saying " do not do adsense" What I am saying is "don't put all of your efforts in adsense only".. and that's two different things..
it depends on people, most people trust adsense, thats why they use.. there are lot of cpa offers online which are fake, but adsense is true everyone know about that. But if someone like, they can deal with something more than the adsense.
If you are stretching the rules of adsense, then you know it. A lot of people who get banned are banned early, just before their first check or soon after, just before they are to be paid again. That means they didn't read the TOS carefully and they made a mistake.

I agree with OP. Yet many people combine adsense with amazon and/or clickbank. That's 3 eggs in 3 baskets
No offense, not into the Indian stuff. And I don't want to get paid in Rs and I bet they pay much less than Adsense anyway.
