Com'on guys and gals. It's right here in front of your faces.
    http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/keywords/
Track Google with Google API key, plus Yahoo! and MSN with own hosted tracker page.

Heck you can click in the top right of just about every page on these forums where it says "Tools" and there is a link for Keyword Position Tracker right there. :p

Diversify when marketing your web site. I'm in the sandbox, but I still make money. Some of my traffic does come from Google, some from yahoo search; msn is almost useless for now. I use adwords and overture is a bargain these days, plus there are some other ad networks out there that bring good traffic for a very fair price. Work on conversions and rankings in the other search engines, Google takes time and will be gravy train when you do rank well with them.

Mr. tork What is the problem with you? You are I don't know talking about what topics on which threads. Have you started any of your threads? Yesterday you claimed that google sends you check every morning. Now how that is possible if google has a minimum payout cycle of one month. Are you an exception among us?

I never get any traffic from google EVER!! I just dont get it, i have over 30 websites, I can bearly get in the top 500 results for anything other than my site name, some of the sites have been around for one and a half years, not a massive amount of time but come on!

    Example :-
    Website: www.just911cars.com
    keywords: used 911 for sale

    MSN : 1st
    Yahoo: 5th
    Google: 581st <--- WHAT!!!! I would be happy with page 3 or 4 or 10 even! :)

My site has now got a PR5, everyone likes it uses it etc.. Sub pages are still being crawled and re-ranked at the moment beacuse of the google dance.

But I just dont get it! The only thing I havent tried is putting huge articles of text on my site, what do you think?

My sites cant all have penalties?

The other thing that gets me is for the same keywords on page 6 of google there is this link
    LINK
that takes you to a link to my site, how can this be higher ranked than my site?

I would love your feedback please :) Enjoy the google dance everyone

Gazzerman I think you would have too much competition for the keyword that you are targeting. That's why your PR of 5 is not helping you anymore.

Gazzerman, I'm only seeing 375 links to your site (useing yahoo). In the car field I'd imagine that you'd need a lot lot more than that.
Keep building links - you'll get there.

G brings an average of 67% of my traffic monthly.
MSN brings an average of 14% of my traffic.
My site ranks about the same on both for my search terms.
    Nuf said. ;)

Thanks Guys, now with that in mind look at http://www.911virgin.com they are the second rsult in google for the same keywords "used 911 for sale" but they only have 259 backlinks?

I dont think its about backlinks, my conclusion is its 1 of 2 things, I need bulk loads of content or the only thing this guy is doing that I am not is being listed on DMOZ, which is impossible, I could submit a million sites to DMOZ and never get a single site listed, why do google use these fools for their directory?

    Any ideas?

Why don't you apply to become a editor for your category? As long as you are fair to others, you could then list your own site.

I would love to be an editor, I even have the time free to be a good editor, I have applied to be an editor for 3 seperate categories that were available with only 10 links in each of them and they still said no, I dont think its possible to be an editor, It seems like a closed door?

Anyone know anyone thats an editor and applied the normal way. They would not even give me a reason, just dont understand it.

I think there are some big industry sharks running the show :)

Keep applying. If they say no again, appeal.
I am the editor of several categories and have learned that more than a few in DMOZ feel they have to answer to no one.

What do you mean it's still in beta? I was using dogpile back in the late 90's.

Yep. That and it still generally has the most releveant results for my searches...

Excellent advice, and too often forgotten.

How about the Digital Point keyword tracker?

And often even if you don't know how to spell it. I'm often amazed at how well that "Did you mean to search for Snuffleupagas?" works...

That's about my experience too... except sometimes Google is higher. Often AOL is second. Then MSN. Some months I barely see Yahoo as a referrer...

And finally the usual crap from latehorn... hard to believe he is double red

You have turned the table :).
Obviously with the emergence of new search engines and Google is focussing on multiple products. There is start of downfall of google but not as much as you described 1000%.Yes it could be if you are banned from Google.
