With the recent PR update we are seeing so many threads out there making jokes on Google and and their PR technology. Apart from them people are not leaving any chance of taking on Google on other matters too.

    1. PR Update

Google made it clear 2-3 months ago that they would be penalising sites for selling links. We all made joke of this and took it lightly. But Google had the resources to build those algorithms and they did what they

warned about. It is their first step in this direction and we should expect much better and accurate algorithms in near future.

I would call it their kindness that they just dropped the PR off some sites keeping their SERPs untouched.

We all know that paid links have been a problem because they can be used to manipulate SERPs. So, G needed to stop that thing, and have you wondered why they did this? For us ofcourse, the users, so that when we search for something we get what we want not those spammy sites which are living off PR.

It has been said that G is doing it to promote their own products adsense and adwords. Why not? As a commercial company their motive is to make more and more profit. It is no democracy. They can do whatever they wish to their products.

    2. WidgetBucks Vs. Adsense. Who actually sucks?

I myself tried WB on my sites and their per click rate are really good. But WB is not for every site and every niche. Tech and shopping sites will always do better with WB, but Adsense is for everyone.

We should give some time to WB before declaring them the winner. Lets see if they could maintain the cpc levels and ofcourse, they are still to pay our first checks.

I believe, neither adsense sucks nor WB. It's on webmasters to use both the networks smartly on their sites by testing their performances. On some site WB will do good and on other Adsense will do it.

Pay per click or Pay per risk.

Nothing good enough if they don't pay attention to fix their program from invalid clicks. Nobody clicks on their ads for a few cents. But their competitors do to act if ask ad network disable the account.

Good program is better than try-to-be-good TOS.
