It is true Google Ad Blocker works for not viewing the ads anymore, but why do that? What if you type a search and don't find it, but there is an ad that is related to your search, what then? I would not go for any ad blockers, or if there are, only the ones that don't offer related ads to your content that you search/view (i am not referring to google).
The Norton and Symantec antivirus application having a auto ad blocking option to block ads on browsers, It is safe to browse with out ads.
Sometimes sponsored results are worth more than natural SERP so I don't see the reason for blocking ads.
+1 for Adblock as long as I'm a "visitor" -1 for Adblock as long as I'm a blogger... Sponsored results almost all the time filtered manually FYI
While I agree, I think adblock is most beneficial on sites where the advertisements are overwhelming. Google has relatively good ads, so I don't see the problem. Not to mention, it hurts those who are publishers and get ad revenue.
But i am enjoying every bit of it..yes it hurts a lot to publishers including myself. But still loving it ..
From both a publisher and user viewpoints, it's good to keep in touch with the kind of ads running. You don't want to exist in a vacuum especially when you're in internet marketing.
There is another option also ..most of us use atleast two browsers -- we can keep adblock in one and other without ...and then if we like to see ads we can just hop on another browser >.>
Yeah, I also do it the other way round - just add the sites to Adblock which are displayingly overwhelmingly annoying ads...
