I own a forum development blog, where i write articles on how to build a successful forum.

I can't seem to gain much traffic from google.
How can i find otu some popular keywords people search in Google which are related to my Blog?

you might try using Gtrends from WordTracker, it's pretty good at giving you hot keywords that get a lot of traffic.

I've tried them but none of the suggested keywords relate to my blog.

They are like gaming forums etc.

Research your field and use multiple keywords tools to find effective keywords and as suggested above analyze the latest trends for search terms.

maybe the articles you are writing is too competitive ... too many people are writing about it .. i think you need to find some thing more specific .. something like longtail keywords phrases ... for that you can try out free keyword tools that are available online ..
