Creating an account is best way to get into and learn about it the most. Adwords account is free and takes 24 hours to activate. You can use your existing Gmail or Google ID for that.

Second thing you can do it to get a voucher from somewhere and use it for real time learning on a sample project.

    Nothing teaches better than practice.

Wikipedia description: "AdWords offers pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, and site-targeted advertising for both text and banner ads. The AdWords program includes local, national, and international distribution. Google's text advertisements are short, consisting of one title line and two content text lines. Image ads can be one of several different Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) standard sizes."

This document explains the basics of Adwords quite well: http://www.docstoc.com/docs/13202919/Google-Adwords-101

Is the problem that you don't understand what Adwords is or you don't understand how to setup an Adwords campaign?

If you don't understand what Adwords is, basically Adwords is a online platform that connects advertisers (Adwords) with webmasters (Adsense). You create your ad text, pick which keywords you want to target and how much you want to spend. Adwords also has many advanced features.

If you don't understand how to setup an Adwords account there are a few options:
    1. Ask here at DP - a lot of people here will have experience in doing so, that includes me.
    2. Setup an account and have a go - Google has lots of help information to guide you.
    3. Hire someone to do it for you
    4. Do a google search - there are many blogs, websites, etc. with information and tutorials.

    Hope this helps :)

If you are from the Us I can give you a free $75 voucher to help you on your way. The best way to learn adwords is indeed by experimenting with rather low amounts. good luck!

If you're willing to spend like $15 you can get a book from Amazon ... or even for free at your local library.

Good authors to start with are Perry Marshall ("The Ultimate Guide to Google Adwords") or Howie Jacobson (Adwords for Dummies). They'll give you a good overview of how to properly set up an account, etc.

    Hey Buddy,

Rather than reffering to the post/blogs writtern by other experts in the same field, we will suggest you to use The following guide published by Google forBegineers, which will help you to get started with Google Adwords.
