Don't Just Install SSL For The Sake of Google Rankings

    Anyone planning to install ssl, Just for the sake of Google giving importance for ssl sites. I will recommend them, don't go for it unless
    *Your website involves money transactions i,e online payment gateway
    *your website involves maintaining secured data Ex: banking, storing user bank info..etc

    If your website do not fall under above categories. Do not choose ssl, There are so many disadvantages if you choose, below are some disadvantages
    1)increases your page load time
    2)your website will not open (throws a security warning for users) if the time and date settings are wrong on the desktop

    HTTPS is a better choice google said that secure connections will increase rank. If I had to guesstimate how much gravity google gives to secure connections in terms of over all ranking I would put the figure at 1-5% total
