Hello, I have one personal opinion. There should not be post count for Introduction section of forum. Becoz i have seen some people just uses it to increase their post count. They are not active in other section of forum. I am also starting a poll on it. So, we can know other's view on it. Thanks all.
There should be some restrictions for counting of posts that are posted in introduction thread. 3 posts per day should be allowed to say "Welcome" to the new members. These three should be added to total posts. You can welcome any number of new comers but only 3 post will be added. So that with restrictions you can welcome any number of new comers. I too worried about pad post. Watch my cartoon at http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showpost.php?p=916129&postcount=2
As a wise man once said, it's always ignored. Some people don't like easy solutions to keeping people from pading there post count so they can go make an ad up in the marketing boards. It's not very hard to click the no option, then click a submit button!!! EUREKA!!!!!!! It's fixed!! Really hard, even harder that making some php mod!!!!
I occasionally welcome some of the new members. My posts there are not aimed at increasing my total post count. I think a warm welcome for new members is something necessary.
I kinda idled for a minute or so, staring at the poll question. I didn't knew what to click on. I tossed the coin.
That will be a sad sad day Lets just scrap all post counts... who cares anyway. Just have 3 catagories of members which say... Posts too much Posts average Is a newbie and probably has some dodgy money making idea to spam

i think he is aiming at the kids that come here, spam up the introduction area with posts, then posts their sales and leave. just to get around digital points rules. the question confused me but i am against post count there.
yes. I've noticed this too. many new commers intriduce themselves AND their website in the Introductions area, trying to get reviews there. This should not be allowed.
I am in the same band wagon!! I didn't know what option to select so I asked my cat, and she said that I should go with "yes". (I dont know whether I am pro or anti )
