I have to say I just read an ebook yesterday..it was a hungarian one.. my goodness, that was the real NONE.. absolutely no practical information, and all the theories were false:)

About english ones, well, which costs more then 47$ ( :) ) that's bullshit, those with 10-35 are very good for everyone, even for beginner DP members.. if you have the money to buy, and you have nothing to do with that 30 bucks buy it.. If there's one good informative sentence then it's worth 10-30$ imo..

But I have to say, most of them are just trash, this is a fact

I will correct myself in one way and say the books are probably good for beginners and you want all the info in one place. Hmm... I should come out with a free ebook. But...how to make money off a free ebook? :D

Shove your affiliate links into it.

Give them real examples off your site with adsense on it ;)

You can't write off all ebooks as scams. Some aren't, but it's difficult to tell the difference before you buy. I've bought some and I always use Clickbank because they have an automatic money-back guarantee, even if the author doesn't advertise a guarantee.

If an ebook contains only a single tip that can help me increase my revenue to at least recover its price, it is worth the investment. Even if it contains information I already know but presents it in a way that motivates me to retry some things I've already tried, and it works, it's worth the price.

Realistically, most ebooks are written for newbies. If I were a newbie, I would gladly pay the price to have all the information in one place rather than having to search through forum posts just to save a few bucks.

I'm not defending junk and scam but there are some good ebooks out there. Separating the junk from the good stuff is the hard part.

Easy. You give away the ebook to get visitors to your site who will then click on ads, purchase affiliate products, or buy your own product or service.

Of course they do, makes sense in fact. Joel Comm is a member here.

Edit: and what is too high. If one person believes it's worth that then they got their moneys worth.

He is a member but a short lived one. ONly made 30 or so posts and then left. Makes too much money to post here often I guess.

I only started buying ebooks like that after I started making money online with techniques I learned from blogs and forums. And with some of the books I have purchased, a paragraph or two in the whole ebook had info that made the purchase worthwhile. With others, I realized the ebook was for people who had just learned of internet marketing the day before. So, it's a toss up.

There are some good e-books around. It just depends of your own knowledge to see how useful can it be. Let's say that 90% of e-books are scams, but in the 10% left, you can find some interesting stuff...

Yea but if you would have to buy 10 ebooks to find the usefull one. That costs $970. You are better off reading these forums.

those books are for people who don't want to take the effort to learn it all by reading all those different articles, forums etc.

But still they are way to expensive. I can give you the same information and advices tailormade for your situation and your site for much less (starting at $5 ;) )
