I think you better write to the Central Petroleum Minister asking him to ponder over the petrol price! Don't think boycotting petrol buying on one day will make a big difference. Of course, this can be used as a method to reveal our problem

Not buying it for a day isn't going to do a darn thing. People will want to protest, so they won't buy on that day. Ok, I need to still get around so I will buy the day before, or even the day after. Sure, sales for that day will drop, but they will also increase the day before and after, thus making it totally pointless....
Well there is strong news that Petrol price would be up atleat 4 Rs in next fews days. It's going to delay because of Left fronts but we would pay 55 Rs soon.

I heard of another one, "don't buy on this day, gas follows supply and demand and since no one will be buying gas will go down" Wow, these people are rocket scientists. That email is a piece of crap, period. The same email, pretty much word for word, that makes the rounds here in Canada and the US every time the price of gas goes up more than a little bit. I figure I get one about every 6 months or so.
