I would happily give Google all information about me. Heck, I've already given them my bank account routing numbers, my social security number, my home address, my cell, I couldn't care any less if they knew what was going on with my computer.

You can remove your cookie if you want, Google is not a scam, for years of service and good performance, you can not tell that it is a scam. We cannot assure security in the WWW world. Not only Google can do that.

I very much doubt they care what half the people surfing are doing :) If they want to use it to make some money sending targetted ads to me then fine. I might turn off my tracking one day, when I remember to do it, but it's not really a big deal - I haven't got anything to hide...

    It's an old story..

You can't hide anything from Google as you allow Google yourself by installing their toolbar to track you!

I just logged into the history page and it didn't know a thing about me. I'm guessing that you opted in at some point.

Google using cookies to track your movements without your consent would be very much against their "Do no evil" policy.

What now if Google sees your history? They would not care though because they do nothing bad to you unless you lost something when you used Google's services. :)

Just because you don't have anything to hide doesn't make it right. Freedom in the US is slowly slipping away - stay hidden!

i believe there was an article in the telegraph or somewhere a couple of months ago.

i seem to recall it stating that.....

GOOGLE REMEMBERS EVERY SINGLE SEARCH YOU MAKE.

    hmmmmm....

the fact of the matter is that i feel safe having google have my informatioon. they are not the government..they don't care WHAT i do as a legal issue, they care where i go for advertising reasons.
