Don't be too greedy, love what you're doing

Reading lot of these different topics I realized that many DP members are plain old GREEDY, just wanting to write high paying niche stuff to earn more bucks though this niche doesn't really interest them at all. And the result of this? Millions of so called finance experts, mortgage experts, mesothelioma experts, loan experts, forex experts, etc, that are basically rewriting over and over again the same old articles. If you don't like the topic, and you're doing it just because you're greedy where's the fun in all of that? Write something you are interested with, write original, write with your heart, and you'll have much better results than writing some high paying niches that you don't know nothing about. People that are visiting your site have not come to your site to read something they already know, they want something new, something from completely different perspective, and for this you need love for what you are doing.

It is not all in the money, and even if it is, you will still learn more if you work hard on something you love instead on something that pays good but you find it boring and know nothing about. If you're for instance into sport write something about sports, write with your very own still, with love to this sport, and you'll on long run earn much more than millions of different "finance experts". People know damn good to separate good articles written with enthusiasm and personal opinion from the ones written by "copy/paste, change some words" technique. If you find pleasure in what you're doing so will your visitors, and in the end all parties will be happy.

Have this in mind when starting new sites and best of luck to you all.

Use care when attacking a community my friend.
It's not just some DP members that can be greedy but the entire world tends to be that way.
Also, many of these greedy dp members do give some good advice.
Other greedy members are just trying to feed their kids.

I understand what you are saying, and agree with it, but to say it in that way says something bad about the community overall.
For many of us this is our job.
Are others greedy because they work at the steel mill or at the grocery store? Do you think they love produce or playing with molten steel?

I agree that for the best quality of life including your passion in your work makes one shine. But some how or another it seems life keeps getting in the way of passion at the worst times.
Sometimes just plain ole survival comes into play.

Perhaps at times it is best to just state ones philosophy and not include the personalization?

    Cheers Bro.

    Deepest Respect,
    Ken

Respect to both of you i dont create sites if i am not intrested in them because you have to really push yourself to work on it and its never that good, but if you enjoy a niche topic like mine is for military aviation you work hard to create good articles on fighter jets and other air forces because you like doing it

What kind of personalization are you talking about?Did I name anyone?
It is passion and dedication that results in quality. We are not talking here about people that work at the steel mill or at the grocery store, we are talking about the people that have the option to write either something they love or something they find boring but pays big. But the truth is that you don't need high paying niches to earn lot, if you write really quality content in almost any niche you can earn a lot, but if you're writing something just to get more money then this sounds greedy for me no matter what other people think.

I'm writing about topics I really like, and this gives me really solid income, so you can earn even without writing boring niches you know nothing about. I really respect people that try to do something they love, and this was my point of this thread.

My motto is give quality to visitors, and it will always pays back, and you can't have the real quality without the passion and love for what you're doing.

That is one of the most factual posts I have seen here on Digital Point I have tried before in areas where I did not no what I was doing and basicly just edited or re-wrote articles, now I have found a niche what I enjoy and have a passion for,you don't get too much per click but surely with hard work it will pay off witch I will enjoy doing as it's something I have time for.

I agree. Writing on a topic which you totally have no interest in is too plain boring. After all, where's the fun anyway? ;)

of course there are going to be people who are only in it for the profit, but what really defines those who succeed and make a lot and those who take home moderate earnings is that those who succeed and make a lot generally are the ones that actually enjoy the field/niche they're in. While those who are only doing it only for the money usually don't end up staying alive long enough. People can tell when someone's only in it for the money, it shows through the quality of work/site/content.

The urge to earn more will be there inside every one. But if it exceeds the minimum critical level, it becomes annoying, you loose your temper and life becomes a problem. To be on the safer side, select a niche in which you are a master rather than the one that pays very high...

Its true. Tons of people are just running around trying to grab the highest paying niche and because of this it isn't so high for them.

I find that its true that if you have a good interest in a topic you will surely make 10-fold more than something that you are just trying to compete with.

Great post, totally agree. If you enjoy it more, it is likely that you'll apply more effort and time towards it in the future as well.

You can still create quality content without necessarily having to be an expert in that niche. It's easy to say "Follow your passion" but if there isn't a market for your particular passion you're going to have a hard time making it work for you. Now here's what I think people should do. Find a hungry crowd and give them what they want. If you are also passionate about that topic then all the better. With reference to another point about being 'greedy', there's nothing wrong with people wanting to make money online.

Why not deal with high niche paying products/services and get paid for it. If one spreading a positive message in what one writes about, why not get paid well for it.

Well your post would be relevant if you looked at this shit as a hobby.

If you looked at it as a job, then you'd put all the "feelings" aside. 9 out of 10 times, the folks raking in thousands per month are the ones that treat this as a job.

exactly. if they rewrite articles, let them rewrite articles for all i care.

if you get affected by what they're doing because rewriting those articles made them on top. then you better create better articles than what they've come up.
like i said. these things happen even in the offline world. :D
