    When i was a kid growing up i was always told to get magnets away from the hard drive as it could erase everything. And they where right, it could. Today you don't need to be afraid if magnets anymore as long as you have an SSD in the computer. just look at this youtube video, even the screen and the SSD are "ok" from this monster! :p

    I have always been afraid of magnets. My magnetic personality makes magnets fly at the speed of light to me when I get too close to them.

    I hope that you never need an MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) exam. :)

    While magnets may have no effect on your computer, these days, your body is another thing. We humans are magnetic to a certain degree. In fact an MRI (defined above) works by having a large, extremely strong magnet align all of the nuclei of our body's cells in a single position. Scary thought.
