Dont allow reps without ids and comments

Many losers here simply red rep you without posting their name and comments. I guess its high time Shawn should try and so something with this. A person adding rep shld atleast have his id...nm if its red or green...Sorry if someone disagrees.

 

Reputation is always a big topic here at Digital Point. It's come to the point now where reputation is really pointless unless you have a red rep, in which you need to stop focusing on your rep and focus on the quality of your posts.

I bet ya you will receive red reps just from making this thread. A lot of users will anonymously whore out red reps for any reason and provide bashing comments, too.

Also...this kind of thread should really be posted in the Suggestion/Feedback forum. It's not too suited for the General Chat forum. :-\

Well, I'll give the same answer as I did in another thread.

Okay, let's say you make a post I feel is stupid, or insensitive, whatever so I red rep you. BAM and I say "you were rude ~ Skinny".

Now, there are many mature members who would say, "Skinny I disagree" or "Skinny you can shove that up your . . .".

However, there are also immature members. They think, "Oh, so Skinny doesn't like me. I'll show him."

Then they find every post I make and red rep me, whether the post was good or bad. Soon I turn to red and its really not my fault.

Now the red affects my reputation (the other reputation) when really it wasn't even my fault.

Now if I'm just as immature I'll do the same because of course I have his ID.

And now everyone in the forum is red. No one can trust anybody, and the whole forum idea about being a community fractures into a million little pieces.
