Best option is to cancel your E-Bay Orders

If you were not aware of who the donor was...you should have prevented yourself from splurging that amount.

Just thinking aloud....if the account is not verified and the account holder ceases to use that account....what can paypal do in such instances?

    Regards,

This is not a small amount mate so paypal try to recover it anyway. Don't underestimate paypal

@OP - As other says just try to cancel your ebay orders and stay safe.

    DON.

I personally think you shouldn't have to deal with it. It was donated money, it's not like you can take donated money back. Some celebrity got signed up to a charity after giving out his bank details and he has to continue to deposit money every month.

Its a fraudulent transaction. So I too agree, that the best way out is to give their money back.
