I am not being horrible here, but my money is for my kid to give the best I can and currently the credit crunch in the U.k we have been hit with more taxes etc so times are hard because of the debt where in, in your honest opionion if the Uk had the same flood would pakistan help us? So sorry I will not donate, what I will donate is my hope and prayers.
yes we help haiti also so y not uk in this world every body helps each other we also help tsunami now its time to help pakistan there are 20 million peoples are homeless now

No, you are not being horrible here. You are being worse, by assuming that Pakistan won't help if you guys go through some crisis of this sort. We've helped other nations including Haiti as mentioned, as well as India, in cases of earthquakes, tsunamis etc. If you choose not to help, you can keep it to yourself rather than flaunting. The request was for just one dollar per person, not their whole fortune. If you don't want to part with your one dollar or pound because that'd effect the future of your kid and would end up making you poor, then sure, it's up to you, Scroodge! You might as well hug that one dollar or pound while going to sleep, if it helps you sleep at night. The part in your post that made me sick was the arrogance with which you flaunted your miser nature and your lack of compassion for the millions affected by this disaster. People like you are a blot on the face of society.

My post obviously included nothing about forcing him to do anything. I was just sickened by the arrogance with which he so selfishly proclaimed that donating a buck will cost him the future of his child. I appreciate all the aid from the people in the UK and my response to this person had nothing to do with the UK government or other people from UK. My point was just to make this person realize that if he can't contribute to a good cause, he better not flaunt his selfishness either. PS: You should learn to tell a whine from a lecture. =)
the fact is mate a buck or pound is MY buck or pound and I will do what I want with it! Btw on the weekend I went out clubbing and a tramp came up to me and asked for a ciggy and I give him one and got chatting and ended up giving him a pound for a burger. Now which do you think is better? a pound to 20 million people or a pound to a homeless hungry guy (same situation except the water).
