Trump has officially announced and is actively campaigning. Since he was first elected in 2016, he has been pretty open about running for a second term.

He would be a fool not to try and there is nothing that supports Trump being a fool.

There were two special elections for Congress within the past few days, California and Wisconsin. For weeks, the Fake News media was touting these two races as being the start of the "Blue Wave" that is coming in November. California, of course, is a bluer than blue state and Wisconsin is purple and an important electoral swing state, to boot. Well, the Fake News has been remarkably silent on the results of these two elections. Both Republicans won easily is why.

Biden is now fully embroiled in the Obamagate (spying on Trump) scandal that is only just beginning to come to light. The Durham criminal investigation has not even spoken a single word yet, and things are already looking bad for a lot of the political thugs who performed the dirty politics (and more) that the Kenyan ordered. I have believed since everybody else dropped out that Biden would be the candidate after the convention, but now given his obvious loss of his mental faculties, the Tara Reade rape charge, and his involvement with Obamagate, it is making me wonder...

The Fake News/Leftists/Swamp's Coronavirus ploy is starting to backfire (as has every other political strategy they have concocted for over four years.) Early on in 2020, they were sure that they could pin the virus deaths on Trump, much like they did with George W. Bush and Hurricane Katrina. Some of them actually admitted this openly back then. When it became clear that this narrative was not working (polls did not blame Trump, in fact, his numbers rose during most of the past few months) they then thought that if they could shut down the economy, his major claim to re-election (best economy ever) would be destroyed and he would lose in November. The true blue Democrat governors of blue states jumped on board this last gasp political crusade and have crippled their economies. Blue states have not been known for any type of rational fiscal management, so they are also the least prepared of the states for the massive cuts in their tax/fee revenues that they have caused. They are in real trouble and Trump and the Senate are not likely to bail them out, no matter how many bills Nasty Pelosi passes in the House.

They would all be okay with the economic devastation, if it did cause the intended effect, because, no matter the harm one of their political ploys causes, Trump Bad. However, the latest Economist/YouGov poll shows that just one-third of the country blame Trump for the economy. Note that this poll is always a left-leaning survey, so this is definitely not a survey from the right. What is also starting to come into view is that the red states that have opened up, have not seen massive spikes in virus cases. If that trend continues, the shut-down loving, blue state governors are going to look worse and worse. Not so much to their low-information base who will just keep bleating about the numbers, but to the people that make the country work: employees, employers, business owners, etc. All of these folks are suffering from the effects of the shutdown on a daily basis.

Trump continues to outsmart and totally confound the Fake News media. For the first time in memory, they are faced with an enemy that is better at reading a situation and capturing the essence of the messaging needed to overcome their lies. As I have said before, he is the best political PR person that I have ever seen. And that is exactly what is needed to thwart the Fake News hoaxes and narratives that are published on a daily basis. It has been a remarkable four years and I expect four more.
