One of my wife's students (age 16) said this in response to the announcement of Saddam's death sentence: "Good! I'm glad he's going to be hung! He deserves it for all of the people he killed in New York and at the Pentagon!" I thought that was funny.
Fantasy, please post some links to support this There was some camps in the kurdish areas out of saddams control, a couple odd ball people floating around the country. But there is no credible proof saddam was in alliance with islamic radicals Saddam was a secular strong man who would kill anyone who thought would question his power, also baathist http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ba'ath_Party Jihadist are religious fantics who would totally threaten saddams power, and without us there as a common enemy would probably fight the baath party
That's the good old brainwashing kicking in Rob Have a looky at this: http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/november2006/081106Disciplined.htm
I impressed with this dialogue and would only be repeating others if I answered what I was challenged with originally. But in short, I think that we have to stay rather then let things get worse if we leave. I believe the atmosphere is ripe for those accomplisments necessary to get us out of there to be realized now though. I don't think we should have been there to begin with, but we now have a job to finish despite that. We don't run away.
We always had the sames goals, just different ideas on how to get there. The politics is over now. Time to support the means to an end and make sure those with the power get it done right.
And pay thousands for a tv to do it on. Tens, sometimes hundreds of dollars to get it pumped into his home, and then has to watch commercials. The idiocy of TV kills me. But yeah, I watch it and have a couple three favorite mindless shows I frequent too.
