domainsite.com should I stay or should I go?

    Hi,

I am up for renewal with domainsite.com, (10 days or so).
I am happy with them, but I am just posting here quickly to see if anybody has heard anything bad about them?

I am moving another account from RegistryFly to Godaddy 'cause I heard they were not very good. But I am not sure about domainsite.com.

What do you think? Should I stay with them?

I have no problem with DomainSite, and their support is very friendly and quick.
So I am a happy DomainSite user :)
I would've just stayed if there is no problems.

No problems here. I have about 25 domains with DomainSite. Always decent prices and I have not heard negative feedback either.

If you have had no problem with them, why would you consider moving?

I am just making sure that there are no bad reports about them.

Another one of my site was with RegistryFly and, although I've never had a problem with them, I heard some bad report about over charging credit cards and support been very bad in general.

I was just making sure really .

    Best is GoDaddy IMO.

And for most people using DomainSite for .info's, Now GoDaddy's price is equal to that of domainsite for .info = $1.99 :)

    Really? I can't say I ever noticed.
They don't put any ads on my site, (they can't).

Maybe it is one of their hosting package.

    No i'm talking about their TV ads ( example : http://youtube.com/watch?v=HhFMD6ybP2E )

    GoDaddy's has a superb marketing
Give the people what they want, which is quite good actually but what sustain them and boost them to the 1st registrar position in the world is the popularity, the fair prices and their fair support

If you take out popularity what do you have ... fair prices and fair support good enough but not so good for 1st place
So they achived quite good results, focus to end user when others focus at resellers (enom for example)
Bet their ad dollars to super bowl sexy ads, became famous, everyone is anchored to the name, the brand
There are people that clearly DON'T like them but they are FORCED to use them because everybody does

So because we live in a society everybody likes to replicate others and this leads to .... the 1st place of course
I have nothing against GD (which is quite hard to believe with so much i said in this topic or other topics) but it's true

I just want to underline from a domainer point of view and a person that deals with domains for many years now that GD is not the best solution because he's big. He may give us the assurance that we're safe but there are other registrars out there that can be trusted

Many times you communicate better with a CEO you know (i don't know the CEO of domainsite by the way) than a salesman

Unless you get a cheaper deal stay with DomainSite. They are reliable enough. And if you transfer a domain it always takes time.... Why do that
