    Hello,

Im new to this forum but I have seen people have made A LOT of money using this forum. I've been looking at my options at making money and I think that buying and selling domains is a pretty decent way. Does anyone have any suggestions for me before I start?

I "think" I know what im doing. So in this business do people just buy domains, and other people buy them? Is that basicly it?

Also, what domains are people looking for? I've seen some people buy domains with rediculous names. Why is that?

If you guys could help me go in the right path, I'd be real greatful ^^

If you have to ask the questions you are, you are not ready to get into the domaining game.

It's tough, very tough, and the most money to be made now is in the aftermarket, not in pure new registrations.

Read up the "domain" forum here or the namepros forum. Once you've researched, know the terms, know what people are looking for (right now the hot thing is CVCV.com and LLL.com names, which are going for thousands) then you're ready to start.

You can try to register dropped PR domains, put up a site, and sell it off or charge for links on a monthly basis.

You'll need to spend time on searching interest domains, buy them for low price and sell it with profit.

    An example:
When RegisterFly offer domains for .60 I bought one domain, i try to build site but i haven't got time, but domain get PR2 anyway. After few months I sold this domain for 7$. This is small profit, but you can buy 1000 domains and than sell them for 5$ each - 4.4$ profit per domain - 4400$ :D

I think that you shouldnt have to wait 2 weeks after you joined to make a post in the Buy/Sell/Trade Forum. Maybe just more posts

I honestly would not go into that business, a domain gets value from its traffic unless you have a one word domain like cars.com, houses.com, sex.com you will not make a lot of money.

I would invest in 1 site, write content and make it popular. You will make a lot more money doing this.

It's not about luck dude. It's about skill and knowing what a good domain is.

Don't go out and spend $15.00 for a reg when you can get it for ~$7 or less at GD with coupons. Don't buy a domain like "really-cool-free-info.ws" and try to sell it for $50. It will never happen.

The LLLL.com domain strike happened not too long ago, and there's not many left. It's going to end up like LLL.com, they're going to be valuable, especially if they're pronounceable.

Good luck in your ventures, but I suggest working on some sites first and then get into the domain pushing business. I've been doing web design for like 4 years (I'm young) now, and I've only pushed like 5-6 domains. I'm going to start getting into that field because I've learned a lot about it.
