domains with PR - are they worth it?

I see some PR4 domains listed at DP for as low as $25. Are they worth it? If I buy domain with PR how do I preserve it? Will it loose it is PR if I redirect it to an existing site at a different domain name? Or am I suppose to develop into an unique site to keep the PR? Anyone have experience in doing either? Please share it!

They are worth it if they fit your keywords and general niche. Otherwise purchasing them would be a waste of money.

I would still want to know what to do with a PR domain - i.e develop or redirect, and how long that PR is gonna last

not anymore..in past yes..but here are lot of indonesian scums who sale fake pr6+ domains.
this pagerank domain market was broken by them.

say what you all want, if it's a true PR4 domain, i would probably pay $100 for it (if i had a use for it), as high PR domains rank faster than anything else. of course, google will check for quality content but you will be able to rank your stuff ALOT faster (i.e. i was ranking 2 sites for the same keyword, PR2 page got to front page within 2 days so i started developing the pr0 domain, it got to page 1 a week later, with alot more work and content, but by then, the pr2 page had slipped off the front page and hovers around page 2-4. this was just a test to see what PR does for ranking :) )

Will high-PR domain loose its PR if I redirect it to an existing site at a different domain name?

I noted this in past when I made my website. I redirected my pr3 domain to another domain and I got same PR to the domain I redirected.

I have done experiment with related keyword and different keyword too. The PR is copied in both the cases and lasts for 4 months until next PR update comes by google. I suggest that you optimize your current MAIN domain which you are using. Forget optimizing redirected domain because that domain is already connected by your main domain.

It's worth it if it's in the niche your site is in.
