Domains vs. Blogger

Oh and I have some other questions for all of you.

-Do you think a personally owned domain/website will fare better in Google search results and PR than a blogspot blog will?

-I have noticed that with my blogs, they show up lower in the search results if I stop posting new content (even if I have lots of backlinks). For a website, w/several pages full of good content, will the same thing happen if I don't add any new content, or will the website be more likely to remain in the same place in search results (again, I would have lots of backlinks)?

-And lastly, what would you say is a good number of backlinks to have to a website/blog (i.e. through articles, etc.) to ensure it has a good page rank and shows up at hte top of search results? Mine are doing decent already but I want to see much more improvement.

Having a blogspot blog does not effect you. Google looks for constant new content. If new content is not present, your serps will go down.

There is no real number for a good pr. You need to get quality related back links. Not bad sites or anything else. Just keep working on content.

 

I am blogging on blogspot blog from last two years . I don't find any special thing in domain comparing blogspot blog url but Domain name is easy to remember . If you know good seo work than you can make good moola from blogspot blogs too .

 

if you are goona be blogging for a while and grow your site, then its better to have your own domain. its good for branding, yuo own it, and you have more control and options with your own blog in terms of managing and customization

 

blogspot is good .. but i prefer buy a domain ... when i work in my own domain i feel like ....am working for myself .. and a cool domain name will stay in head

and make money by throwing money .. how u make huge $$ without any investment

 

I am also working on blogspot but i have also bought some domains and working on them too good reward from domains and also good from blogspot if i m updating them on daily basis

 

Why waste your time developing content on a platform you don't control?

blogsport is good for quick indexing, but over all placement is up in the air.

 

Definitely get your own domain. If you are serious about all this, domain is a "must have".

Domain gives better resuilt than blogger.
But ! thing must care about it,
blogger is on self optimized based, you need only uniue contents with related post.
But n site, there are lot of actiities availableFor seo point of view.

 

u can use blogspot , but try to use ur own server , that means u can start bloging via blogger.com

To my mind the whole blog vs. domain thing is not about what is better/worse, but about what your goals are. If this is sharing info and getting feedback, blog is the thing. Anyway, whatever you choose, good content and regular updates are a must.

 

FOr me blogger is enuf if you don't
have some specific business plans

Yes I agree that Google can delete your blogger account anytime. So be careful and get your own domain.
