If you can help me with a problem, I will reward you. I have registered 100 names with Yahoo who now tell me I cannot use any of them for a Yahoo store because I live in Thailand. In addition, they have told me I cannot sell the names as they have the right to them. Adding insult to injury, they have the right to automatically renew the registrations when the first year is up, leaving me in a lose, lose situation. Am I to really understand that even if I had a store and it became very successful and worth millions that I could not sell it. Doesn't sound fair to me. Yes, I am an idiot I know, I should have waded through all the rules to find this out before committing myself. So far I have spent $1000 and the best I can think of is to cancel each one for the second year and maybe re-register them with another Domain Company; but I don't know if I can do that. What other Domain Registrar has rights over the names purchased? Thank you all so much.
how they can auto renew ? is your credit card stored in file ? call the credit card company and do a charge back if applicable
well, if its linked with credit card, then they cannot renew automatically for the next year as you can tell the bank not to allow them to take the cash. So you save a bit there. Although its not really any sort of rule on which place you live, you can still run your domains effectively. just buy a web host from somewhere, change the nameservers and bang!!
