Domains sales and Sites category rule suggestion

If anybody is selling Domain name or Website , the Domains name should be posted in original thread or in title of the thread .

Because many members just post "please pm details" just to increase their post count . Either it should not be allowed or a new subforum must be created with name

Private Sales ( and I think DP really need a private sales section )

 

If I sold my sites, I'd likely not want the details public. I'd also not want them public if the sites I was selling were DMOZ listed (they will remove the site from the directory).

I do agree though that such threads do disrupt the balance here on DP and they are likely on the "to do" list of the staff here. The process is slow, but thus far what has changed has changed for the better.

I do agree that a Private Sales section would be a FANTASTIC forum... Drop sigs within it and make it so that posts do not count to the post total, and then let it loose.

 

Yeap sometimes I'm avoiding sell some of my domains , because I want sales to go private and if I'm not mentioning the name , I'm getting tons of reply with " pm details " and only 1 in 5 is really interested in sale the rest just trying to increase post count or just want to see what domain you're selling though they are not interested to buy at all , but you had to reply all that pms as you do not know who is interested and who is not .

I hope that DP stuff will approve this suggestion and will open new subforum for private sales
