This is one of the top secrets in affiliate marketing. However you should ask the affiliate company if this is ok or not but the most of the times its ok.
Oh hell yes it's okay. That's my primary method of driving YouTube traffic to affiliate offers (and the method of many others). The only way I could see you running into trouble is if the domain contained terms that the advertiser didn't want used, such as "freeringtones.com" for ringtone offers (since none of them allow the term "free" anymore).
I noticed that, I saw a post a while back from you with your gamingyoutube site, you used subdomains pointing to affiliate links like copeac.yoursite.com But to answer your question it is definitely allowed
Yeah, I mask all my affiliate links that way. It looks a lot cleaner plus I have a theory that Google looks at pages with aff links less favorably, so I think it's better to do it that way. When it comes to YouTube, I only use subdomain redirects in certain instances, which I actually just posted about today.
Yeah I do it all the time. If I see a link like make5billiondollarsnow.com/?affid=2847272 , I wouldnt click it, but if I saw a URL like make5bil.getrichquick.com, I'd definitely click it
