I just got an email from register.com saying that limit 1 per order you can get a domain name for 50 cents. The offer says it expires March 25th. Not sure if I should give this link out because it seems unique to me.... but in the email it says it's valid for all new customers in the US and Canada only.
I tried this and have been using my domain for a while. They did call me and try to sell me online marketing services and stuff, but other than that there were no strings attached.
