    Hi Hans-Peter - no point in buying a domain unless you have a use for it. Probably more useful for those developers that are self employed/freelance, right?

    Domain name extension as bare option won't make your development skills better and won't help with SEO and marketing. Your service quality and professionalism + good web site content and usability. I think things work in this way only.
