I am going to be collecting a series of articles on the domain business. Once all the authors I have contacted have agreed to let me use their articles i will be placing them at http://domainfare.com I hope many benefit from this project.
I would get rid of the picture of the woman on the upper left and replace it with something else. I'm not sure how it relates to the site.
I don't think it is a problem. The picture he or she uses to represent themselves should not be factored into their abilities as a webmaster. tesla
Set a background color - for me, and anybody else with a non-white background color gets a page that has a couple of white sections, and gray (or whatever their standard bg color is) in the rest of the page... I'd upload a screenshot showing you - but I don't have 10 posts... Basically add a #ffffff background color to your body tabs of the site's pages, and you'll be good!
Huh? I'm not questioning "their abilities as a webmaster"...You obviously don't understand that the visitor is right no matter what. Does having random pictures of people with no connection to the site whatsoever add to a visitors experience?
I agree with yfs1... that picture is incredibly distracting. It tries to drag your eyes off the reading... I think it's the fact that it's the only picture, it's of a person, and it's in black & white which contrasts all the colors on the site. Just my 2 cents, but I'd drop it or get a new picture.
