So my site is www.financeurlife.com. The title of my blog is "Finance Your Life". Obviously the URL is not really matching the title that well from a spelling standpoint but I was mainly looking for the keywords of Finance + Life. If I do find a new and better URL, would it be as easy as just pointing the old url to the new one? Recommendations? Advice? Thanks. Iv been on this url and blogging for almost 6 months now.
Just park your new domain name on top of the old one. Promote the new URL, but you would not loose the current traffic as visitors typing in your old URL would be redirected to the new domain name.
