Domain with goddady, hosting with someone else ?

    Hi,

    its possible to get domains with goddady registar and host the websites with another provider ?

    If yes what would be the disadvantages/advantages for such a solutions.

    Ofcourse the main reason is price but what would be the disadvantages ?

    yea its possible!
    the advantage is that it is not recommended to have your hosting company same as registrar..
    Godaddy is good as a registrar but not as a web hosting..

    Disadvantages .. no disadvantages !

    Of course you can do that. You can register your domain name at any of the registratars and host it where ever you want.

    The great thing is you can change hosts easily with a seperate registratar.

    Yep, just change the nameservers according to the host you want and you'll be on your way to hosting your site.
