I see people selling websites some just selling domains .com's for under $10. How do they do it so cheap? It costs like $8 to register a domain plus at least one month hosting to build the dite plus time. How do these people make money selling sites so cheap? Is there some place to register .com's cheap?
There are a couple of likely scenarios for those cheap .com's you seel 1. The owner registered the domain thinking it had some profit potential, but it turned out to be a dud and is just trying to get rid of it. 2. The .com was purchased on the aftermarket (ie. ebay, sedo, DP, etc) for dirt cheap and the owner is trying to make a few bucks by selling it for a few dollars more than he paid for it. A perfect example: I bought a financial domain on ebay on Saturday for $0.99. I then started a thread here on DP and sold the domain for $5. I know it's not a lot of money, but if you could do that over and over, you could do alright.
