    Hi,

I've always wondered what a very famous site and mostly big business behind the domain can do against people that own a domain that is very similiar to the original domain name. So as an example could YouTube sue YouPorn/YouJizz for having a bit a similiar domain name and having the same type of logo?

I recently heard that Amazon is sueing the company Amazee for having a similiar name. What do you know about this matter? What happens if Amazon wins the case? Does Amazee have to change theire domain, can they keep the domain as an asset?

Similar, phonetic, misspellings, even foreign spellings can be trademark infringement. You can also research cybersquatting. Logo's can also be protected trademarks.

What happens if a trademark holder wins? If the mark is registered, the party can be order to pay treble the tm holders legal fees plus damages. You could be looking at six and seven figure awards. They would also lose their domain.
