You will have to push the domain to Godaddy. That will cost you $. Check out at Godaddy for exact pricing. Or alternatively you can open your own a/c at domainrightnow.com and have a free push over to your a/c from your friends a/c

If you want to transfer it to your godaddy account only unlock your domain, get EPP code from your friend and start transfer procces at Godaddy.

    Hi,

For future reference, this post is in the wrong section,
this is for buying and selling domains. There is another
    section for questions about domains.

Anyway, it is very simple to transfer your domain to GoDaddy.

Just go to http://www.GoDaddy.com , hold your mouse over
"Domains" on the top left side of the page, and when the menu
drops down click on "Transfer Domains to GoDaddy"

Then enter your domain where it says "Step 1 Start Here"
and follow their directions from there.

DomainRightNow seems to be a WWD reseller, you should be able to open an account with them

Just have your friend to go to the domain control panel, after selecting the domain there is an option (change account) he/she needs to initiate account change (they will need to fillout your informations, including email) once submitted you will get an email that asks you to create and account with domainsrightnow (if you don't allready have one) and just follow the instructions in the email which will include securty keys etc..

    Best of luck

Registrant's modification is a free service.
Your friend can change all the details from control panel - no need to push or transfer domain or to create new account or so.

    Good luck,

I agree that registrant modification is free, but the registrar has payment information of the registrant also the current registrant may have other domains that does not belong to the original person.
it is advisable that the domain to be pushed to another account.
I know this because I have a super reseller account with WWD and know this process.

sure contact info can be anything, but they must be valid!
FYI: ICANN requires that registrant info to be valid otherwise the domain maybe delete for non compliance, that is why they established WDRP compliance process.:D

You have to 'transfer' domain to GoDaddy and will pay the charges at GoDaddy whatsoever these are. That's it.

If yu want to 'push' it is free :)

    transfer - between 2 registrar
push - between 2 customers at same registrar :D

Visit GoDaddy and start 'domain transfer' but you must have your domain secret in advance with you. This you can get from previous registrar.

yes go to godaddy and start the transfer wizard , but u have to unlock your domain from the old registrar , aslo note that Godaddy with charge you the full rate of the domain , but it will be for the new renewal of the domain for the coming year starting from the expiration of the domain with the old registrar
    Wish this helps
