Domain Transfer

Discussion in 'Domain Names' started by julandy, Jun 1, 2007.

Could someone tell me how I transfer a domain name to someone else if I sell a website? And also how much it may cost.
I currently have several domain names registered with 1&1 and I would like to develop them and sell them. I have looked at the 1&1 website but I can't find any informationon this.

just ask them to create an account at 1@1 and u can push them FREE of cost

if they want to transfer to the registrar of their own choice then the charges are generally renewal fees for godaddy, domainsite, etc.. u also get 1 full year free with that transfer

You need to acquire the domain transfer authorization code from your domain register.

Domain transfers take maximum of 6 days and usually domain registrars don't charge additional fees for domain transfers, you just have to renew your domain with them for a year or more...

Yea, mostly authorization code in your previous registrar admin panel, or you email the support for it.

Transfer is free but you should renew at new registrar for one year. :)

Just transfer a domain from namecheap to godaddy, only took me 4 days :D
