Right I'm buying this domain off a member of a similar forum. The problem is my host is not so well equiped that is why they are so cheap. I asked them and they said, "Could you get the auth key for the domain transfer. Your current registra should know it." Can I the buyer who don't own it yet ask for this. The company don't realise I am buying the domain, I do not own it yet. They haven't basically got a transferall system built in, they do it manually, can I get it? Thanks.
Who is the domain name itself registered to? And who is the registrar? I know for Godaddy, I called them and they sent that key to the registrant (my business partner) and then we entered that into the new registrar's control panel.
Thanks for your reponse. According to who is, the domain registrar is: SCHLUND+PARTNER AG ansd the registrant info on there as well says oneandone since they made it a private registration.
One way or anothr, if you able to receive a transferred domain but your hosting does not provide you with nameservers you can forward your domain name, pointing to your actual URL and getting displayed the domain name in the browser address bar.
That's ok then. I just was wondering about this authorization key thing and if I can actually go to the current owner's host and request it. I've been waiting for the domain for such a while now and at one point didn't have the money as it doesn't stay there forever. I wish I could get things moving.
