Domain transfer timeout?

    I tried to have a domain transferred from GoDaddy to DomainSite. I paid for the transfer, authorized it by clicking the appropriate link in the email I got, and then just waited. And waited. And nothing happened, until the transfer finally timeouted and was cancelled. No explanation was given. Did I do something wrong? I believe that when the domian owner gets the email at the WHOIS address, and authorizes the transfer from that email, it should then go automatically? But it didn't, and I don't know what to do differently before I try again.
