    Just backup everything, upload it to the new server and then change the dns.
    Shouldn't have any downtime.

    Bingo.

    If the DNS has not been "touched" in any way during the registrar transfer,
    then no downtime would occur. It will occur if the DNS has been changed from
    its current set to a new one when transferred to the new registrar, or if the
    one managing the DNS encounters problems that time.
