I just purchased a domain for the first time from someone here on DP, I gave him my email adress and customer number. He said he transfered the domain but I do not see it. Is there anything special that I have to do on my end to recieve the domain? or should I just automatically be able to see it on the my domains page? I figured I would ask here before confronting the person because like I said this is my first time doing this and I want to make sure that I am doing everything correctly.....
Was it a transfer to another registrar or a push (same registrar)? How much time has elapsed since the person said they transferred it?
I assume you are referring to GoDaddy mentioning the customer number, so I will explain using GoDaddy as the registrar. - Log in to your GD account and go to Domains, My Domains. - Once in the Domain Manager, click on Domains, then "Pending Account Changes" and you should be shown the domain that you are waiting to be transferred. - You must check the box next to that domain and click on accept transfer and the rest should be easy and self explanatory.
