Domain transfer! How much time it takes?

    HEY Folks!!

    I have transfered my DOmain from servage.net to godaddy account. i have done everything and paid to godaddy.

    Now exactly how much time it takes to get the transfer done?? any idea ehh??:)

    i use name.com and it takes a couple minutes if its a .com domain, im assuming either within a couple minutes or a couple hours

    no dude, i checked with godaddy, and they are saying it could take upto 5-7 days.
    anyways...just because of that im loosing ma business man!! sad!! :((

    5-7 days for external transfers, though there are a few exceptions to the rule depending on the registrar, ie, domaindiscover.com.

    An internal transfer takes minutes at most registrars.

    5-7 days? wow that's crazy... my experience has been a matter of minutes, anything between 30-60 minutes at best... that is if everything goes smoothly without errors...

    I do not know how the servage control panel is, but perhaps you could check on this.
    Under the pending transfers, where the domain is listed, is there a part that says "recommended action" or
    something of the sort? If so, it will also say something to the effect; authorize transfer or accept transfer or release domain.
    This is a double authorization, assuming you already authorized the first time via the link in the authorization e-mail.

    With some registrars, this second authorization will eliminate the 5 day waiting period almost instantly.

    it all depends on the registrar,if the registration data are correct maximum 5 days

    i also used this transfer to Savage its take almost 7 days. but my previous mail does not work. pending transfer in the savrage
