Hi, I want to transfer one domain to one of my friend @hosters I have domain in name.com and he has account in godaddy, everytimes he try to transfer receive message unable to transfer, i can not understand this reason Last message he receive is as follow I am the registrar of domain, and i give him all auth code, domain status is unlock, still not understand reason, every time its fail plz help regarding this
It looks like you need to contact your registrar to make sure they are allowing the transfer to go through.
GoDaddy can be aggravatingly stupid (for lack of a better word) about inter-registrar transfers. It may be that your friend will have to get an account with Name.com, and then transfer it himself to GoDaddy if he really wants it there instead of Name.com. Prior to that, though, contact Name.com and ask them if there is any reason that they are disallowing your transfer. Some registrars will block a transfer within 90 days (before *or* after) of the expiration date of the domain. (This could also be a reason for GoDaddy to reject the incoming transfer, if they do.)
they should i at least mention any reason of failure, actually i sale this domain, now he is asking to refund payment, i am in doubt to refund because i have give him all authorized codes of domain
I looked on Name.com in the FAQ but couldn't find any information about canceling a transfer. Their phone number is (720) 249-2374 (only from Monday-Friday 8am to 6pm Mountain Time [UTC -7]). You might call them and find out if there's any way to cancel the transfer (which would make the auth codes inactive); then you could issue a refund. If you can't call, you can email them at . Good luck!
Hello, When user wants to transfer the domain than he should adds the domains that requires to be transferred and comprehensive checkout & most important Authorization Key is required
can u copy paste the whois STATUS line here ? when the domain regged ? if it less than 60 days old it cant be transferred normally
Your best bet is always going to be to contact the registrar in question. I will back up others though and say that GoDaddy are slightly stupid when it comes to transferring domains, they dont really like to make it easy. Most common problem is the 60 day period though, however if you are transferring to GoDaddy, they normally will allow it.
http://www.viewwhois.com/fitnesssupplement.net that domain is register on Created: 23-mar-2010 I am the owner of domain , giving auth code to party , then whats the problem, i think i should contact name.com may be some kind of blocking from them
according to me you should raise a support to request to your current registrar about the same. They would find out the reason and do the same for you. Its according to my experience as a domain registrar.
Hi, Please make sure: -the domain name has passed the 60 day mark before initiating any transfers -make sure you have the auth key from the original registrar -make sure that the domain name is NOT LOCKED by the registrar Good Luck!
Will this work? 1. Domain is registered at GoDaddy 2 years ago, 2. I buy it from someone, 3. Seller pushes it to my GoDaddy account, 4. Next day, I unlock the domain and initiate the transfer to other registrar ( e.g. Namecheap/Name/Enom).
Can someone tell me how to transfer a domain? I am trying to transfer my domain from Godaddy to Bigcommerce but its showing an error. Do I need to change the namerservers on Godaddy?
