My company is planning up to transfer the website to a new domain like (xyz to dgc) we need to take care of that we website don’t lose the backlinks and the domain authority like on the base of domain age and extra, My question is simple how do I manage to solve this issue. Thanks in Advance
use 301 redirect for every link to new link that is one of the way to keep secure your site from getting down
ONLY 301 redirect will help you in fact. After your domain is redirected you should check for link and content not to be duplicated.
In order to transfer Domain Authority from one website to another, you need to put in a HTTP 301 redirect. The 301 response code let’s search engines like Google know that you want to transfer any domain authority and traffic to your new website. See below for Google’s recommendation on this matter. https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/93633?hl=en
