Domain transfer cancelled by Sedo?

2 weeks ago I made an offer on latestnews.com which was for sale at Sedo. My offer got accepted, I paid the money, and now I receive an email that the transfer got cancelled because the seller apparently transfered it to somebody else.

WTF and what can I do about it, if anything?

First thing is you can tell more details...helps others figure out what really happen, maybe we all can learn something as well....if you feel you been cheated just state the facts and maybe someone here can explain or agree with you...that something is wrong.

Im just trying to help, im new and this has my attention.

Yup my money was returned, no problem there. I contacted the guy listed in the whois and it turns out the seller listed a domain he didn't own. The guy on the whois had the domain for years (and of course doesn't want to sell it for a mere 1200$ - I found that strange on Sedo! If its too good to be true...).

Sedo usually checks the whois for the domain

Based on what you've stated so far, not much can really be done if the one in
WHOIS doesn't want to sell it at your desired price.
